A Letter to the Woman Afraid to Touch Her Hair

Published 21/08/2025

Dear beautiful soul,

I know what it feels like to stand in front of the mirror, afraid to run your fingers through your hair because you’re not sure how much of it will stay behind. I know the sinking feeling of seeing strands on your pillow, your brush, your shower floor, like little reminders that something you love is slipping away.

I’ve been there. And it’s more than just hair loss, isn’t it? It’s the fear, the helplessness, the constant question of “Will this ever stop?” It’s feeling like you’ve lost a part of your identity and with it, your confidence.

When I went through this, I tried everything I could. Shampoos that promised miracles. Oils that swore they’d regrow my edges in weeks. I bought hope in a bottle again and again, only to feel disappointed when nothing changed. And each time, the fear grew heavier.

But then, something shifted. I found Ayurveda, powders like Amla, Bhringraj, and Fenugreek that had been trusted for generations. At first, I was skeptical. Powders felt messy, too traditional, too slow. But I was desperate, so I gave them a chance.

And amazingly… the shedding eased. My scalp felt calmer. My strands felt stronger in my hands. And for the first time in months, I didn’t feel that fear when I touched my hair. I felt hope.

That’s why I created Artiniq, so that women like you don’t have to walk this journey alone, guessing and second-guessing every step. Artiniq is here to give you the tools, the guidance, and the reassurance I wish I had when I was scared to even brush my hair.

So if you’re in the middle of shedding, I want you to hear this: you are not broken. You are not alone. And this will not last forever.

Your hair can find its strength again. And so can you.

With love and understanding,
Amanda
